I started working out with Linda in 2017. I was 37, two years sober and one year divorced. My life had changed dramatically as did my body. I had gained weight and started to feel self conscious about wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts. I initially came twice a week and with in 6 months started coming 4 days a week. Linda introduced me to kettlebells which completely engaged me with lifting weight in a new way. I loved the mobility involved in doing swings, snatches and get ups. I also loved how everything I said I'd never be able to do, Linda got me to do.
She is a gifted teacher that encouraged me to push myself in a steady way that never felt pressured, but was always gratifying. In the spring of 2018 Linda asked me to be her workout partner and we started training together 5 days a week. In the spring of 2019 we decided to go for the RKC certification with Dragon Door. This involved intensive skill and strength training 6 days a week. We read books, we hardcore worked out, we laughed, I cried (many times),but I ended that summer in the best physical shape of my life. Aside from sculpting muscles, I gained so much self confidence. We both got our RKC certification in the fall of 2019 and it was one of my proudest moments. Just to be strong enough to even try would have been impressive enough for me. Linda was a tireless cheerleader. She never gave up on me when I felt like I couldn’t make it. She has the gift of making women feel safe, loved and willing to get stronger. Working out with Linda is a cornerstone of my week. I do it to stay strong both physically and mentally. I hope to be able to follow in her footsteps and give back to other women all that she gave me. Linda is not just a trainer, she is an awakener and training with her is a gift that keeps on giving.
